Halloween 2009!!!

I know, I know, my posts are in WACK order. After they have been published and read I am going to put them in their proper order!!!

We always let the kids paint their own pumpkins every year...they have so much fun! Some years we are brave and carve pumpkins and enter contests...but it is easier to paint! lol Here are some pictures of the kids painting their pumpkins.

Yeah, yeah, I know...Elijah is in his underwear! lol, his most comfortable state!

We also had a good time, as always, at the Carnival at the YMCA. The kids got to play lots of games, play in inflatables and get lots and lots of candy. Of course, since Connor is so grown up now, this is his 2nd year not dressing up for Halloween, just wearing some kind of sarcastic shirt! lol

I was also able to attend some of the Halloween parties at some of their schools.

For the first time this year we went to a local church where they had a Narnia presentation for Halloween. This was very cool and enjoyable for both the kids and adults.

Orr Family Farm :)

It has been a loooooong time since I posted!!! I am hoping to get some make up posts done. We are just so busy lately.

A post I want to make up is our trip to the Orr Family Farm. This was my husbands company picnic. It was in October, and should have been posted before Thanksgiving, but that's okay!

The kids had a blast. There was good food, pony rides, a petting zoo, mineral hunt as well as other fun and games. We also got to pick our Halloween pumpkins there as well.

First we got there and got our choice of sandwiches or hot dogs, and of course the adults chose beef sandwiches and the kiddos hot dogs. Then we took the kids over to the pony rides. They had a blast on the ponies, the baby enjoyed watching as well.

Next we took them over to the petting zoo. Although it was small it was very personable and alot of fun. All the kids enjoyed touching and petting the animals. They even had a fake cow you could milk. Elijah had a blast with that, but unfortunately we could not get a picture of him before he moved on!

Next we went on the hayride, which the kids got a kick out of! It took us to the pumpkin patch where we each got to pick our own pumpkin. The kids expended alot of energy running through the patch and picking their own personal pumpkins.

Here are pictures of the kids with their picks! I thought it was cute how Jason had picked a little pumpkin not ripe for Sariah :)

They also had a blast on the go carts. Elijah was a little short, as well as Dacia, but they figured out a way! I even took Lydia for a little ride.

Sariah and I spent some quality time on the moon bounce as there was no way she could get on a go cart with us! Lydia had fun as well.

After that we did the mineral hunt. The kids loved finding "gold" and other rare metals and jewels.

The Orr Family Farm had great scenes for fall pictures. Here are some of the misc. pictures we took there.

I would definitely recommend this place for good quality family fun!!!
