Orr Family Farm :)

It has been a loooooong time since I posted!!! I am hoping to get some make up posts done. We are just so busy lately.

A post I want to make up is our trip to the Orr Family Farm. This was my husbands company picnic. It was in October, and should have been posted before Thanksgiving, but that's okay!

The kids had a blast. There was good food, pony rides, a petting zoo, mineral hunt as well as other fun and games. We also got to pick our Halloween pumpkins there as well.

First we got there and got our choice of sandwiches or hot dogs, and of course the adults chose beef sandwiches and the kiddos hot dogs. Then we took the kids over to the pony rides. They had a blast on the ponies, the baby enjoyed watching as well.

Next we took them over to the petting zoo. Although it was small it was very personable and alot of fun. All the kids enjoyed touching and petting the animals. They even had a fake cow you could milk. Elijah had a blast with that, but unfortunately we could not get a picture of him before he moved on!

Next we went on the hayride, which the kids got a kick out of! It took us to the pumpkin patch where we each got to pick our own pumpkin. The kids expended alot of energy running through the patch and picking their own personal pumpkins.

Here are pictures of the kids with their picks! I thought it was cute how Jason had picked a little pumpkin not ripe for Sariah :)

They also had a blast on the go carts. Elijah was a little short, as well as Dacia, but they figured out a way! I even took Lydia for a little ride.

Sariah and I spent some quality time on the moon bounce as there was no way she could get on a go cart with us! Lydia had fun as well.

After that we did the mineral hunt. The kids loved finding "gold" and other rare metals and jewels.

The Orr Family Farm had great scenes for fall pictures. Here are some of the misc. pictures we took there.

I would definitely recommend this place for good quality family fun!!!

Sariah is Walking!!!

Hello everyone!

As usual, we have been busy, busy, busy! We wanted to update and share Sariah's progress with you as she approaches a year old.

She has been walking for about 2 weeks now! We are so excited!

She is talking some, she says bubba, dada, boo, no, uh-oh, and my momma...my personal favorite!

She points, and when you point somewhere, she looks for whatever you are pointing at. When something disappears, she knows where to look for it! She has grown up so much, it is hard to believie she is almost a year!!!!

We will be celebrating their birthdays soon, and will be posting pics soon!!!!

Frontier City

Well, we finally got to go to Frontier City!

What happened was Jason's mom bought us season passes and gave us awesome tickets so that each additional person could get in for $5. Well, we lost them before we ever used them...those of you who know us are probably not surprised. So, we are trying to decided if we want to go to the Fair or not, so I decide to make one last attempt to find the missing tickets...and I found them!

So, instead of the Oklahoma State Fair we went to Frontier City. The kids had a blast, and the parents liked it too! It was alot of fun. We really enjoyed the day together.

Lydia and I are riding a cool dragon ride that goes in circles and up and down. When the ride was almost over I realized we controlled whether or not we went up and down! I was wondering why we were the only ones low to the ground still! lol

We decided since we saved so much $ by going to Frontier City instead of the O.S. Fair we decided to let the kiddos play some extra games. The kids made out on this one!

I like this picture...it's sweet, big brother helping little brother buckle on the ride :)

Jason and Sariah on the train. She really enjoyed the train ride around Frontier City. It was cool, all the kiddos enjoyed it!

If you look on the top row, on the right side the guy in orange is Jason, and the boy to his right in white is Connor! They loved this ride!

We can't wait to go back!

Revival in Konowa

Well, for a week Jason preached a revival in Konowa. On the last two nights we went down with him, since the kids did not have to go to school the next day. We really enjoyed ourselves and had such a great time with the Crawfords.
We also enjoyed the company of the other church members too, really nice people!

It was nice to finally meet the person that gives me such a hard time on Facebook! lol

Jason enjoyed good meals every night, the rest of us enjoyed the Friday and Saturday, and boy was it good eatin! I even took some of my bon bons he have me such a hard time about! I took 36 and they were gone before dinner was even cooked! We also brought some fried fruit taquitos...yummy.

Even better were their enchiladas and grilled steak...sooooooooo good!

Connor tried all day to catch some chickens, and finally did and tried to make me kiss it! EXCUSE ME CONNOR, WE DO NOT PLAY WITH OUR FOOD! lol

Also, Elijah almost cut my head off with some crazy long thing with a dagger looking thing on the end...instead, he cut my steak! lol

I would have took more pictures, but our camera batteries died, and our spares? Dead too! Yep, that's how it goes ;)

There are alot of fun things to post about, we have just been so busy with school, church, football...you know the stuff that keeps you out of the house!

We had a really good time with my sister, who came down to be with us on Labor Day weekend. She was about to turn 16 and we had a mini surprise party for her...it was alot of fun.

This is the flag we hung out in the yard while her and Jason were at Mardels.

We also went to the Arbuckle Mountains, that was alot of fun too. It is fun to get out of the same old routine and change things up! I'll have to post on that one another time! Lots of laughs and fun!

Mcklinky Blog Hop: Remember 9/11

Where was I September 11th? I was working at a child care center. I was the lead teacher of the 2 year olds. During the day we were allowed to listen to the radio, as long as it was classical music. I remember the news break saying a plane had just hit a tower in NYC, and shortly after the second one hit, the people on the radio had a bit of panic in their voice.

Soon all the workers in the center were talking about it, and parents were calling. I was beginning to get scared, but my son was with me, there at the center, but part of me wanted to take him home and be with my husband. Within an hour about 1/3 of the kiddos were picked up from school.

I really thought it was going to be a war, that we were being attacked. I watched the news every waking moment at home and had an unsettled feeling in the pit of my stomach. I was so sad for the people I was watching on television...I remember crying...alot.

That day after the news broke I talked to my mom and my grandma. Everyone was in kind of a "quiet" panic, not knowing or understanding what just went on and if it was the beginning something bigger or the end.
