Thanksgiving 2009

It has been a long time since I posted, so what better time to post than Thanksgving!

We had a very good Thanksgiving and have so much to be thankful this year, especially our families!

Lydia had a real cute party at her MDO program!

This year we went to my moms house first, and ate with some of the family we do not see very often. They had all of their grandchildren there for the first time! Of course, with the exception of Jayden, who passed away July 30th 2008, along with her mother, Amber, my sister. The family missed them very much.

Here are some pics of some of the family...my camera had run out of batteries so we didn't get very many.

We also had a good time at Jason's dads. Lydia got stuck in between the legs of their table! When they got her body out, her head was stuck! It was very eventful! lol

The next day we spent some time with Jason's Nanny Rose who came over from England on the Queen Mary during the war. The kids got to play a game she brought with her on the ship and hear some really great stories. They ate some biscuits and jam she made. They had a BLAST at her house!

After that we all went out to eat with Jason's mom at a really neat restaurant that his dad actually built! It had trains everywhere, it even had one that went around the inside of the restaurant. The kids had a blast here too! We had a little surprise from the buffet! At first we thought it was supposed to be a turkey, and then I thought Jason was playing a joke on the kids...but it was for real...a fried piece of chicken with the feathers still on it!!!! I think Nanny ate the toenail! lol

We are thankful for so many things in our lives! The Lord has bless us well!

Halloween 2009!!!

I know, I know, my posts are in WACK order. After they have been published and read I am going to put them in their proper order!!!

We always let the kids paint their own pumpkins every year...they have so much fun! Some years we are brave and carve pumpkins and enter contests...but it is easier to paint! lol Here are some pictures of the kids painting their pumpkins.

Yeah, yeah, I know...Elijah is in his underwear! lol, his most comfortable state!

We also had a good time, as always, at the Carnival at the YMCA. The kids got to play lots of games, play in inflatables and get lots and lots of candy. Of course, since Connor is so grown up now, this is his 2nd year not dressing up for Halloween, just wearing some kind of sarcastic shirt! lol

I was also able to attend some of the Halloween parties at some of their schools.

For the first time this year we went to a local church where they had a Narnia presentation for Halloween. This was very cool and enjoyable for both the kids and adults.
