She is talking some, she says bubba, dada, boo, no, uh-oh, and my momma...my personal favorite!

She points, and when you point somewhere, she looks for whatever you are pointing at. When something disappears, she knows where to look for it! She has grown up so much, it is hard to believie she is almost a year!!!!

We will be celebrating their birthdays soon, and will be posting pics soon!!!!

Frontier City

Well, we finally got to go to Frontier City!

What happened was Jason's mom bought us season passes and gave us awesome tickets so that each additional person could get in for $5. Well, we lost them before we ever used them...those of you who know us are probably not surprised. So, we are trying to decided if we want to go to the Fair or not, so I decide to make one last attempt to find the missing tickets...and I found them!

So, instead of the Oklahoma State Fair we went to Frontier City. The kids had a blast, and the parents liked it too! It was alot of fun. We really enjoyed the day together.

Lydia and I are riding a cool dragon ride that goes in circles and up and down. When the ride was almost over I realized we controlled whether or not we went up and down! I was wondering why we were the only ones low to the ground still! lol

We decided since we saved so much $ by going to Frontier City instead of the O.S. Fair we decided to let the kiddos play some extra games. The kids made out on this one!

I like this picture...it's sweet, big brother helping little brother buckle on the ride :)

Jason and Sariah on the train. She really enjoyed the train ride around Frontier City. It was cool, all the kiddos enjoyed it!

If you look on the top row, on the right side the guy in orange is Jason, and the boy to his right in white is Connor! They loved this ride!

We can't wait to go back!

Revival in Konowa

Well, for a week Jason preached a revival in Konowa. On the last two nights we went down with him, since the kids did not have to go to school the next day. We really enjoyed ourselves and had such a great time with the Crawfords.
We also enjoyed the company of the other church members too, really nice people!

It was nice to finally meet the person that gives me such a hard time on Facebook! lol

Jason enjoyed good meals every night, the rest of us enjoyed the Friday and Saturday, and boy was it good eatin! I even took some of my bon bons he have me such a hard time about! I took 36 and they were gone before dinner was even cooked! We also brought some fried fruit taquitos...yummy.

Even better were their enchiladas and grilled steak...sooooooooo good!

Connor tried all day to catch some chickens, and finally did and tried to make me kiss it! EXCUSE ME CONNOR, WE DO NOT PLAY WITH OUR FOOD! lol

Also, Elijah almost cut my head off with some crazy long thing with a dagger looking thing on the end...instead, he cut my steak! lol

I would have took more pictures, but our camera batteries died, and our spares? Dead too! Yep, that's how it goes ;)

Mcklinky Blog Hop: Remember 9/11

Where was I September 11th? I was working at a child care center. I was the lead teacher of the 2 year olds. During the day we were allowed to listen to the radio, as long as it was classical music. I remember the news break saying a plane had just hit a tower in NYC, and shortly after the second one hit, the people on the radio had a bit of panic in their voice.

Soon all the workers in the center were talking about it, and parents were calling. I was beginning to get scared, but my son was with me, there at the center, but part of me wanted to take him home and be with my husband. Within an hour about 1/3 of the kiddos were picked up from school.

I really thought it was going to be a war, that we were being attacked. I watched the news every waking moment at home and had an unsettled feeling in the pit of my stomach. I was so sad for the people I was watching on television...I remember crying...alot.

That day after the news broke I talked to my mom and my grandma. Everyone was in kind of a "quiet" panic, not knowing or understanding what just went on and if it was the beginning something bigger or the end.

Sariah Update!

I just wanted to post a quick update on Sariah's progress, she is really "growing" up! On Monday she will be 10 months old!

She has 2 teeth, both on bottom.
She says dada, buba, what and hi.
She waves hi and bye.
She self feed finger foods.
She can stand on own.
She has taken her first steps.
She doesn't take a bottle (hasn't since 5 months) or a binky (hasn't for about 2 months)
She copies sounds and tones her siblings make.
She has learned that her voice echos down the Y hallway.
Changing her diaper is a wrestling match!
She loves to "walk" from person to person.
She is very ticklish under her arms.
She has gotten about 5 bruises on her head and one on her cheek within 2 weeks!
She is highly ridiculously allergic to mosquito bits!
She loves to clap and play peek-a-boo.

In this picture you can see some of her bruises :( Most of them from her trying to stand and walk. She is trying to grow up to fast!

Mcklinky Blog Hop: Something Funny

Visit my other blog for a hilarious video of a toddler "preaching" www.getmotiv8d.blogspot.com

It's kind of funny that the blog hop is humor this week because I have been recording funny things Elijah says every now and then.

One day my friend and I were at work talking about Weight Watchers Points, and later at Walmart Elijah said, "My tummy hurts, I ate too many points!"

Elijah's therapist asked him what he likes to do at home and he replied, "I like to say butthead and stupid and get a spanking."

The first week at Elijah's new day care he came home and said, "I'm gonna kick _____ (forgot boys name) butt!" I told him no he is not, and that is not a nice thing to say. He replied, "No mom, I'm not, because if I do I will get poop on my shoe, and if I get poop and my shoe you will wash it, and if you was it will be hard and it will hurt my feet." He knows this b/c that is what happens when he steps in the dog poo :(

The other day we were at a clinic and Elijah got time out. Those of you that know him know that this can get ugly. So, anyway, after I got him to the chair for time out he starts saying, in a very loud voice, "Hey police man, hey police woman, come find my mom, she is mean to me!" Of course, I ignored him, you know, ignore the problem and it will go away? yeah right! He then yells, "Doctors, nurses, come give my mom shots, she's meant to me, hurry!"

Elijah's battery operated train was moving slowly, and he told me the batteries needed more gas!

I was talking to Dacia about salvation in the car, she had asked a few questions, and we were talking about sin. Elijah was saying butthead and I used it as an example, and told Dacia that it was a sin to call people names out of anger. I continued to tell her about him dying on the cross and how you should be sorry for your sins, and Elijah was listening in and said, "Jesus died because I said butthead and he'll come back if I say I'm sorry Dacia."

Connor said, "You know, like how dragon flies are nice and give each other a ride."

1st Day of School

The kiddos have started school. Connor is in middle school now, and Dacia is in 1st, and Elijah Pre-k. When I thought about this, I realized these are changing points. Pre-k is the beginning of school, the big start. 1st grade is when the homework and bookwork schooling begin, and 6th grade is the beginning of middle school, when alot of kids start to want more independence. WOW, that's all I can say.

So, what did the kiddos have to say about school?

Elijah: He was very excited and was ready to go to big school and ride the bus to child care after. He is ready to listen and be big. He had a really good 1st week at school and had no time outs! We are so proud of him for doing so well, way to go Eli!

Here is Elijah after he got off the bus from school!

Dacia: Dacia was not looking forward to school this year. She said 1st grade is too much work and homework, and there are no centers to play in. She wanted to go back to K again. However, her 1st day of school went really well. She had alot of fun, and 3 of her really good friends are in her class. She also really likes her teacher. She is a little jealous though that Elijah get's to ride the bus, but that is just because he gets out of school so early, Pre-k is only part time.

Connor: Connor is just, well, Connor. Not to much of a reaction out of him. He was worried how he would get to one class from another in less than 5 minutes, but he no longer had to worry since his schedule changed the 1st day anyways. He did not know anyone in his class from elementary, but he did have a guy in there he met at the middle school camp he attended this summer. Yeah, I said guy, I thought about boy, but since they are in middle school I said guy...hmmm, any thoughts? 6th graders, boys or guys? lol Anyway, he really enjoyed his first week at school and even started looking ahead at his math work this weekend!

We were a little disappointed that Connor did not want us to walk him in school, or let us take pics, so we yelled and cheered him on his first day of school! The pics say it all! lol

Well, I got the best pics I could, and we made sure everyone knew we were his parents and we hoped he had a good day at school!

Authentic Chinese

Oh my, have we been so busy w/ school starting and everything else going on! Just to update, our Brazilian friends have left. Kepler is back home, in Brazil and Kari went to New York before heading home.

AUTHENTIC CHINESE :)

We had some good friend invite us for dinner before school started, and we had alot of fun. They make the BEST Chinese food, of course, it helps they are from China. You cannot beat unamericanized Chinese food, soooooooo good! Here are a few pictures of us having fun before and after the meal.

We also had alot of fun playing outside. Sariah got to "drive" a car for the first time! The kids get along so well, and she is expecting her second baby soon :)

Ice cream was a whole other story! lol, they really enjoyed it, but it was so messy. It was also Sariah's first time to enjoy rich chocolaty fudge pops!

Thank you so much Alex and Jai for the wonderful food and the fun time! We love you ;)
