Easter 2009

Hello Everyone!

Easter was fun. We did most of the "worldly" part of Easter on Friday and Saturday. Friday night we colored eggs and prepared the plastic eggs for Saturday. We also had one of our youth stay the night, and we watched the movie Three, awesome movie! We woke up Saturday and we cooked biscuits and gravy for breakfast and baked sugar cookies. I then went and hid the eggs, all 245! We did it different this year because we found that the older kids were not challenged and gettin most of the easy eggs, leaving the young ones out, so we did it like this:

Connor- only blue eggs- hid really good

Dacia- only pink eggs- hid good

Elijah and Lydia- all the yellow and purple, and any other egg they found

Connor and Dacia- green and orange as well as their own color, but not each others!

It actually worked really well, and the egg hunt lasted way longer than usual. Later on we decorated cookies and it was business as usual. They got their Easter baskets Sunday morning. They each got a toy (boys frisbees, girls jump ropes), a shirt from Mardels, an acitvity book, a grabber toy, a chocolate bunny, peeps, and bubbles! Then it was off to church. I was disappointed we didn't get a family picture this year all dressed up, but Jason was preaching both morning and evening and we kind of forgot :-(.
